Do you feel an emotional dysfunction towards yourself?

Dr. Batamu is a leading expert in institutional intervention, systemic deconstruction and theoretical exorcism in monochrome and/or neoliberal settings. She is also known and recognized as a local foreigner in public and an agent of the Great Replacement hiding in the shadows.

The current crisis has led to the closure of her individual and collective consultations in her collaborative practice. However, while teleworking at home, Dr Batamu offers a short passive telephone follow-up to accompany clients on Saturday, June 6, 2020. To take advantage of this (limited capacity) service, you must register here.

AUTO-GOVERNANCE / SELF-GOVERNANCE is a series of experimental communicative interventions elaborated in haste by Po B. K. Lomami. They use various technological tools as primary components of their intervention messages. Communication 1, the first element of the series, responds to an emotional need in a context of crisis and isolation. It deals with our relationship to institutional authority, our emotional fantasies and our artificial relationships.

Po B. K. Lomami is a Belgian Congodescendant (DRC) artist, and cultural and community worker. A self-taught and transdisciplinary artist, their practice emerges from urgency, strategy and the reappropriation of space-time. They cultivate experimental, immersive, performative and collaborative interventions of intrusion and interference that question individuals and their institutions through affection, force, the absurd and the quotidian. The result is a precarious chaos from which emerge terrestrial tracks of definition of what it is to be alone, whole and/or together. Among their works are the performances and interventions Consultation d'une afro-ratée (Massimadi Bruxelles & Warrior Poets, 2015, BE), BLACK MÉDECINE : a consultation (La Centrale galerie Powerhouse, 2018, CA); the events and programs Intersectionnalité TMTC Paris-Brussels (Pianofabriek, 2015, BE), EXTRACT (Skylten, 2016, SE), Ressources Humaines (49 Nord 6 Est - Frac Lorraine, 2017, FR); and the visual works and zines LITTLE RADICAL SECRETS (2016), Montreal, 1985 (Concordia University, 2018, CA), This is a poem (Bureau d’aide aux victimes d’actes criminels, 2019, CA). They also wrote for several afro or poc media like AssiégéEs and Q-zine. Website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
