Call for Submissions - Members’ Exhibition: Manifestations

As the year comes to a close, the staff of Articule and the Members Committee would like to invite members to submit their proposals for the 2024 Members' Exhibition.
The title MANIFESTATIONS was chosen to reflect the current global context and the multiple crises leading to a calling into question the logics of oppression that undergird old ontologies. Evoking both the tangible and intangible, this theme encourages one to consider communicative acts and individual or collective actions. It's an invitation to explore a space of possibilities, instigating change or affirmation. In this spirit, we invite members to submit proposals that respond to this broad theme, reflecting the current era and giving free rein to a wide range of artistic expressions.
Participating artists are encouraged to present their current practice and a project proposal or work-in-progress for this call. Concerning the latter, all final work pictures and installation plans have to be submitted by January 15, 2023.
articule will try to accommodate everyone, and the selection process will consider space availability as the capacity is limited. articule will provide some technical assistance, but we gently ask our members to be available during the week of January 22nd to install their work. In the event of unavailability, please ensure someone can be there on your behalf.

If you are not a member, we invite you to become a member; please contact outreach@articule.org to start your membership or to join one of our committees. Note that all members have to agree to our Basis of Unity.
Send the following as one PDF file to outreach@articule.org:
A short biography (max 50 words)
If relevant an artist statement (max. 150 words)
A paragraph explaining your interest in participating (max. 150 words)
A description of your project, including size and space needed. Please indicate which media you are presenting [performance, sculpture, installation, etc.] (max. 200 words)
If available, a few pictures or the link to your portfolio / website / social media handle showing your current practice.
